Laboratory of Developmental Genetics and Tissue Homeostasis

We are a cell and developmental biology lab in the Department of Biology at Occidental College. Through a combination of high-resolution microscopy techniques and the vast array of genetics and molecular biology tools available to the Drosophila fruit fly model system, we seek to uncover the mechanisms underlying cell fitness determination, patterning, and collective migration during organogenesis.
